Oasis rose to stardom in the year 1994 with their debut studio album ‘Definitely Maybe’. The original collective was made up of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher as lead vocalists with additional members including guitarists Paul Authors and Paul McGuigan and drummer Tony McCraoll, all originating from Manchester. ‘Definitely Maybe’, included the catchy tunes ‘Live forever’ and ‘Supersonic’ which saw instant chart success in the UK becoming the fastest selling album in the UK (at the time of release). The band's second studio album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ Released in 1995 also saw similar chart success in the UK and US with songs such as ‘Wonderwall’, which debuted on the top 10 of the Billboard hot 100. 

Following a series of disagreements, Oasis dismembered in August of 2009, where the Rock En Seine festival in Paris, marked their last on-stage appearance together. Since then, the band has gone to have separate successful careers.

Since the bands breakup, there have been numerous rumours of regrouping as fans eagerly awaited the reformation fo one of music most iconic duos. Over the years comments and lyrics have been taken out of context and rumours spread about a possible reunion. 30 years after their debut a simple tweet from Liam Gallagher stating ‘I never did like the word former’ once again caused a roar of speculation and excitement in fans.

After days of reports about a possible reunion, which left fans guessing for answers, Oasis took to their social media to announce a date that read '27.08.24 at 8 am’, which was also the date shared at the end of Liam’s set in the Reading and Leeds festival on the 25th, which marks almost exactly three decades since Definitely Maybe was released. The news quickly trended across several publications about what this could possibly mean.

The band has now announced a definite reunion, marked with stadium tours across the UK set for summer of 2025. So far, several shows have been confirmed including Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium, as well as shows in their native hometown of Manchester and more. Tickets have now been made available online with presale tickets available for purchase.
