‘Long Gone’ is a single release Andy Robbins presents his fans with. Many might remember him for 'On Another Morning', 'Promises Declined' and 'I Don't Think I Can Do This Anymore'. However, a new track is something entirely different.
‘Long Gone’ is the first song after his latest single ‘A Beautiful Day’ released slightly more than two years ago back in 2021. Andy comments that although Covid-19, lockdown and all the changes greatly affected his work, it also granted him the time to explore some fresh inspirations. Thanks to new acquaintanceships, experiences and a renewed perspective on life, Andy has been able to create some of his most exceptional pieces.
A new single can be named the ultimate apogee in Andy's music career. The guitar melody, the lyrics and the whole ambience of sounds entirely represent his character. The evident country motives suit him so much. When listening to the song, it is obvious that the singer feels comfortable. There is an undeniable confidence in the performance. He finally discovers his unique style, and he cherishes it exceptionally well.
‘Long Gone’ serves as ‘a cautionary tale’ about the well-known story of devastating fate twists. The romanticising idea of unexpectedly falling in love: ‘Like the wind, she’ll come and go/how it started I don’t even know’. And then the sudden collapse of everything you know and believe in: ‘When it started I’m not even sure/but I can’t take that kind of loving anymore.’ These lyrics resonate in the experience of so many people. And it is so important to be able to relate to the music, especially after a tough time during the pandemic.
